Bulk Telegram Profile Check: Enriching Contact Records Responsibly
How a bulk Telegram profile check enriches contact records with tg_profile_batch results, and why avatar-based estimates are not verified identity.

Shows how CRM and support teams use tg_profile_batch to enrich contact records, and how to treat avatar-based estimates as hints only.
A bulk Telegram profile check enriches a phone-number list with extra columns beyond registration. TG Validator's tg_profile_batch service returns registration, an avatar link and avatar-based estimates of age, gender and skin colour in one result.csv. Those estimates are guesses derived from a picture, not verified identity, so they work best as hints for segmentation and review rather than as facts stored against a person.
What tg_profile_batch adds to a contact record
Registration alone tells you whether a number had a Telegram account at check time. The profile service builds on that for lists where more context helps:
| Column group | What it represents |
|---|---|
| Registration | Whether the number was registered on Telegram |
| Avatar link | Where the profile picture can be viewed, when one exists |
| Estimated age, gender and skin colour | Values estimated from the avatar |
Some of these cells may be empty, for example when an account has no avatar. Different bulk services return different columns, so a pipeline should read columns by name instead of by position.
Treat avatar estimates as hints, not identity
Estimated age, gender and skin colour come from an avatar image. They can be wrong, outdated, or describe a logo, a cartoon or someone who is not the account holder.
Safe uses include:
- Ordering a manual review queue where a picture may help a human reviewer.
- Flagging records that have no avatar for a lighter-touch approach.
- Noting that a record was enriched, with the date, so the data can be refreshed.
Avoid storing estimates as authoritative demographic fields, using them to exclude people, or showing them to customers. Your own privacy rules and applicable law should govern what you keep.
Run a bulk Telegram profile check
- Export the records you want to enrich and keep only the phone-number column plus an internal row key for joining later.
- Write numbers with international country codes, one per line, in TXT or CSV, and keep the file to the single selected country. Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau numbers are not supported for bulk tasks.
- Submit the file as a tg_profile_batch task from the dashboard or through
POST /api/v1/bulk-tasks. - Poll with
GET /api/v1/bulk-tasks/{id}no more often than every 30 seconds until the task is success or failed. - Download result.csv and join it back to your records by phone number.
Balance is reserved at submission, charged for entries that returned results, and the remainder is released. See the current pricing page for plan details.
Choosing between profile and activity services
If you only need to know whether numbers are registered, tg_batch is enough. If you want an approximate recency signal, tg_active_batch adds days since last activity, which may be approximate. Choose tg_profile_batch only when the avatar link and estimates would change what a reviewer does. More columns mean more data to govern, so request only what the workflow uses.

FAQ
How can teams use avatar-based estimates safely?
Use them only as hints for ordering manual review.
Why might some profile columns be empty in result.csv?
Not every account has the data for every column, so some cells can be blank. Pipelines should accept empty values.
What do profile results tell teams about a contact?
They give a registration signal plus avatar-based estimates that can inform review. They are hints, not verified facts about the person.
